Our story did not begin with a business venture or a corporate plan. It came about naturally, almost by chance. In 2016 we started taking the guests of Pantanello Rooms, our family's accommodation in Avola, out on the boat. We wanted to offer them something special: an authentic experience, far from the usual tourist routes, discovering the places we had always known and loved.

Aboard our private boat we began guiding our first guests along the coast of Avola, towards the Vendicari Nature Reserve, the unspoilt beaches of Eloro and Calamosche, the seaside village of Marzamemi, all the way to the very tip of south-eastern Sicily: Portopalo di Capo Passero.

What started simply as a way to share our passion grew over time into Pantanello Boat, one of the first to organise boat excursions in Avola, back when this kind of experience was still uncommon in the area.

Having been born and raised in Avola, we know every stretch of this coast, every inlet, every cave and every nuance of this extraordinary sea. For us it is not simply about taking people on an excursion, but about telling the story of the territory through the eyes of those who live it every day.

During our trips we love to share stories, curiosities and local traditions. It is not unusual to stop to admire the crystal-clear seabed, explore a sea cave, go snorkelling in the waters of the Vendicari Reserve or show our guests some of the wonders the sea offers every day. They are simple, authentic moments that often become the most beautiful memories of a holiday in Sicily.

Among all the places we visit, Portopalo di Capo Passero holds a special place in our hearts. Here nature and history meet in a unique setting: the sun setting behind Castello Tafuri, the ancient Spanish fortress overlooking the Island of Capo Passero, the sea caves carved by the water and the intense colours of the Mediterranean create a spectacle that never stops moving us, even after so many years.

Today Pantanello Boat keeps growing while preserving the same spirit it all began with: welcoming every guest as a friend and guiding them to discover the most authentic Sicily.

For us the sea is not just a destination, it is home. And every trip is an invitation to enjoy it together.
